On the 1st November, two of our archaeologists will be at Thinktank – Birmingham’s science museum – to talk about the latest exciting finds from excavations at Park Street burial ground as part of their ‘Meet the Experts’ programme. The programme is a chance for Thinktank visitors to engage with professionals who work in Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) subjects, heritage and culture.

Park Street was the overflow burial ground for St-Martin-in-the-Bullring Church and was open during the height of the Victorian period. The team are finding out lots of exciting things about the people that lived in Birmingham at this time. Come and learn all about the human skeleton and the impact 18th and 19th century life in Birmingham had on the skeletons of its inhabitants.
