Public Talk: Life, Death & Magic in Cambridgeshire: Stories from the Later Prehistoric and Roman Artefacts found on the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon excavations

Tuesday 13th September: 19:30

The Octagon, St Mary’s and All Saints Church, Church St, Willingham, Cambridge CB24 5HS

From obscure objects to high end factory waste, fashionably dressed burials and amulets curated for centuries, small finds can tell big stories about lives in ancient Cambridgeshire. Archaeological excavations along the line of the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Road Improvement Scheme (A14C2H) have provided us with a new transect across the county’s past and have recovered thousands of artefacts. Join Small Finds specialist Owen Humphrey as he presents a series of case studies of some of the most important and evocative Bronze Age, Iron Age and Roman artefacts from the A14 excavations.

£3 on the door. Additional information here.
